RP – Amon Background
Amon Flowinggale was born as the third son of High Elven nobility, however, shortly after Amon’s birth, his two older brothers were both killed in attacks by goblin hordes. As a result of this, Amon was raised to be very adept at combat, tracking, survival, and to harbor a particular enmity towards goblins, but, paradoxically, he was sheltered and protected by his parents, who almost never let him leave without them. During his years of training, Amon found himself particularly well suited to the bow, and during his training, he began to fantasize about having grand adventures like the heroes in the stories. The fantasies of his imagination became a welcome reprieve from his seemingly endless hours of training, as his parent’s dominion over his life kept him from socializing and making any friends.
Unable to endure his parents protective coddling any longer, Amon stole away into the night. He was determined to see the world for himself... What he saw horrified him.
Almost from the moment he set foot in the nearest city, he saw crime, suffering, and poverty. Everywhere he looked people were being oppressed and taken advantage of by the people who were supposed to be helping them. Amon had been raised to believe that a leader is the servant of his people, not their better, and the suffering all around sparked a fire within him. From that moment on, he began learning the ins and outs of the seedy underbelly of the world and learning the trade of death, but he did not let the grisly work take his resolve. He would protect people from those who would prey on them, by ensuring that the corrupt elite would not live long enough to continue feeding on them.
